About Dunhill GAA Club

Niall Dunphy, Cathaoirleach, believes that the promotion of hurling, football, camogie, ladies football and other activities through the GAA Club is very important for the community of Dunhill. In providing these opportunities the club acknowledges the work and commitment of the vast number of volunteers within the community, who make these sporting opportunities possible, the players from young to old, their families and the community at large. Dunhill GAA Club is at the heart of this small rural community in Waterford. To keep this heart beating we give our commitment to ensuring the highest standards from governance, provision and facility maintenance.

It is estimated that the Dunhill GAA club was founded circa 1890. Senan Cooke compiled ‘A History of Dunhill GAA – Sporting and Cultural Perspectives 1882-2022’. The book is based on research findings and a collation of information from a mixture of local people and archives. It is a celebration of Dunhill GAA and the history of the club.

Dunhill GAA club welcomes everyone in and beyond the community, the young, elderly, women and men to join in its activities and use its facilities
